Bye Bye Painted Tree- closing our Boutique Booth

We have said Good Bye to the Painted Tree.

Last May, we took the leap and signed a 1 year lease at the Painted Tree at the Shoppes at Hilltop in Virginia Beach. I had high hopes of being so successful and launching my 1st in store Boutique.

Well let’s just say that it didn’t go as I had planned but there were so many great things that happened along the way. Meeting new Small Business Owners, Connecting with New Customers and seeing Bling Owl under the lights in a Brick and Mortar store.

I learned how to merchandise my products, to get into other school markets because it was in a different town, how to deal with theft, how to plan months in advance for the following seasons, how to try to guess on what will sell and then when it doesn’t how to pivot, how to deal with promises not being kept and so much more.

So it wasn’t a devastating loss for me to have to say goodbye when my lease was up, it was a business decision I made on my own and feel better because I had gained the experience.

I will be focusing now more on In Person Markets and Shows to be able to share my love of Bling with Customers who I can share all that we can create for them. Plus you can always shop online at http://blingowlcreations.com or email us to get your Custom order started.

I love the concept of Painted Tree and will still continue to shop and support all the other Small Businesses in that location because the products and Vendors are truly amazing.
